A Goodnight Lullaby

Do you have a special Lullaby that you sing to your children at night? I can remember as a young child my mother singing to me, Carpenters' "Close to You". I treasured that special time with my mother right before I fell asleep at night. The lullaby was so special that it stuck with me as I grew up and when my daughter arrived I began signing the song to her as well. Every night she asks for the same song, rarely does she ask for another (my son likes "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star").

These are the lyrics that I sing to her:

Why do birds suddenly appear? Every time you are near? Just like me, they long to be, close to you

Why do stars, fall down from the sky? Every time you walk by? Just like me, they long to be, close to you.

On the day that you were born, the angels got together and decided to create a dream come true! So they sprinkled moondust in your hair of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue
(doddle loop, doddle loop)

That is why all the boys in town, follow you all around. Just like me, they long to be, close to you....Close to you.

((Hugs)) **Kisses** "Good Night" }

My daughter Skylar and I

"May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children."
~Psalms 115:14
